Buffett & Company’s new on-line behaviour modification programs encourage employees to adopt healthy behaviours through on-line sessions made available over four consecutive weeks. These interactive educational modules are designed to guide individuals through the process of lifestyle change in a number of key areas including nutrition, stress management and fitness. Each week, employees will have access to a new online module that can be accessed at the employee’s convenience. Day or night, weekday or weekend, employees can learn at a time that works best for them.
Every Online Behaviour Modification program consists of an introductory survey that assesses where the employee is on their journey toward wellness. During the four weeks, employees will use the self-directed modules to learn about making healthy choices, whether it is eating right, coping with stress or becoming physically active. Modules use plain language, are interactive and include quizzes, and valuable links and resources. At the end of the program, participants will create a plan outlining their goals and strategies for success.
In addition to convenience, Online Behaviour Modification programs allow employees to remain anonymous. Let’s be honest, not everyone is comfortable going to a presentation and sharing their stresses with coworkers. With this offering, employees can get the information they want and maintain the privacy they need to feel comfortable participating.
As this program is offered online, it is accessible to employees in every region across the country. No office is too remote – all employees need is access to the Internet. Whether you’re a company of 50 or 50,000 employees, the Online Behaviour Modification program can meet the needs of your diverse workforce.
A follow-up with each participant is completed after one and six months. Employers receive an aggregate report that includes participation levels, participant feedback, lifestyle change as a result of the program and expert recommendations.
The Key to Nutrition and Key to Better Balance (stress management) programs are available in both in French and English. The Fitness program is in development and will be available soon. If you’re interested in learning more or seeing a demonstration of the programs, please contact Keith Ryan at kryan@buffettandcompany.com or call (905) 666-1347 ext. 227.
